Summer skin loves this ingredient – Niacinamide
You've probably heard of Niacinamide before – it's an amazing ingredient that does a lot of good for our skin.
In the summer, the skin is exposed to constant influences. UV rays lead to DNA damage and oxidative stress in the skin. Oxidative stress is a chemical chain reaction that negatively affects the skin's structures. Oxidative stress causes micro-inflammation and the breakdown of skin structures, causing the skin to lose its strength and elasticity.
The body's own defense against oxidative stress is antioxidants. When the skin is exposed to UV rays, the skin's antioxidant stores are quickly used up. When antioxidants are delivered directly through the skin, the concentration of antioxidants is highest where the oxidative stress is greatest. Recent research shows very good results when applying certain types of antioxidants to the skin.
Niacinamide is vitamin B3, a powerful water-soluble antioxidant. In addition to its antioxidant properties, Niacinamide has a wide range of well-documented effects;
01
Improves the skin's surface structure, strengthens the skin barrier and maintains the skin's moisture balance
02
Reduces skin redness
03
Regulates and reduces sebum production
04
Evens out skin tone and reduces hyperpigmentation
